Academic Writing Skills (Basic)
gmediaThis course is an introduction to academic writing for English Language Learners, focusing on essay development and grammatical correctness. Students will learn about the importance of correctly citing sources in their writing and university norms regarding academic honesty.
The course consists of three units that include: a review of basic grammar terminology and understanding; writing effective sentences and paragraphs; introductions and conclusions; strategies for writing longer texts; and thesis statements.
